John M. Jorgensen

 

John M. Jorgensen received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida. He continued his education at the University of Florida College of Law and earned his Juris Doctor in 1982.
 
Mr. Jorgensen joined Scott/Harris in 1982 and became a shareholder in 1992. He practices in the areas of civil litigation, with emphasis on disputes involving commercial, banking and real property transactions, title insurance claims, land use litigation and zoning appeals. Mr. Jorgensen’s areas of practice also include representation of creditors in both state and bankruptcy courts, construction lien litigation and appellate practice.
 
Mr. Jorgensen was appointed to the Palm Beach County Land Use Advisory Board and has served on the Governmental Affairs Committee of the Gold Coast Builders Association. 
 
He is a member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association. He has served as President of the North County Section of the Palm Beach County Bar Association and was a member of the Association's Board of Directors. He has lectured on real property litigation issues in courses approved by the Palm Beach County Bar Association. Mr. Jorgensen also served as Chair of the Palm Beach County Land Use Advisory Board. He is President of the Wellington Runners, a not-for-profit charitable organization.
